Art Kloth – Create one of our designs without sewing a stitch when you use the Art Kloth. Canvas type cloth that you can fuse directly to will allow you to create and hang one of our applique wall art designs in fewer steps. Still feel the need to sew? Elaborate stitching, as shown by Gerald Legan’s reduced size Royal, can bring the design to another level.
Steam-a-Seam Fusible Web – This fusible web is recommended for beginners because it is pressure sensitive. This means you can place your pieces down on the applique pressing sheet or on the fabric background and using your thumb, apply pressure to hold in place. Once you are satisfied with your placement, then you apply the heat of an iron to bond. But remember, once the heat of the iron has been applied, there is no changing your mind!
Microperm .25mm Pen – Sharp, clean permanent lines are created when you use this pen, perfect for tracing onto the fusible web and labeling each piece.
Famore 4 ½” Scissors – These scissors have one edge slightly serrated and a hint of resistance in the cutting motion to give you more control. This is ideal for a beginner because the enhanced control helps you avoid cutting mistakes.
18” x 20” Applique Pressing Sheet – Place this sheet on top of our full size layout guide to assist you in perfect placement. Start with highest numbers on the pattern pieces in one particular section as labeled, match to the solid lines, and press down with thumb. Move to the next lower number pattern piece, repeat and continue until all of the section is complete. Press with iron when satisfied with your placement, let cool, peel off the sheet and set aside.
Additional 10% discount on fabric and pattern kits will be applied in cart before the order has been placed. No limit on amount of fabric kits that can be discounted. As always, we welcome your questions and comments at sales@bigforkbaycottonco.com or at 1-866-245-5718. Thank you and happy quilting!
