Bigfork Bay Cotton Company began in late 2005 as a wholesale distributor of the quality thread, Aurifil. Lynn Stalowy, owner of the company, has a life long passion for all things quilting and so the evolution process of the company began. Selling fabric and notions was added to the company quickly and by May of 2006, a full service quilt store was in operation in the picturesque town of Bigfork, Montana. Later that year the concept of designing and manufacturing quilt patterns, both traditional pieced and appliqué, was added. The pattern department has grown over the years and offers the quilting community the opportunity to enjoy designs from various artists each with their own unique style. Traditional, Floral, Whimsical, Contemporary, Wildlife, and other animals have all graced the designs of Bigfork Bay Cotton Company. Lynn Stalowy designs the traditional patterns and with designs from well known artists as Carl Brenders, Al Agnew, Toni Whitney, Brenda Yirsa, David King, Heather Soos, Ty Livingston, Debi Hubbs applique’ patterns are a largest part of our product line. Each season more designs and often more artists are added to the repertoire of BBCC. This gives both us as a company and you as a quilter, new and unique designs that you can recreate and call your own. We strive for the best customer service available and as a small company, we are ready to answer questions and solve problems.
Bigfork Bay Cotton Company licenses the work of fine artists to create raw edge applique quilt patterns. We also produce fabric kits and thread kits for these designs. We also sell select notions to assist in putting these pattern together. We are proud to be Aurifil thread distributors for over 6 years.
Bigfork Bay Cotton Company has been making patterns since 2006. We use our combined knowledge to make our patterns as easy as possible so you can create your own works of art.
